Gandaport’s founding members are leaders in their respective fields of specialization. With expertise spanning across ICT, Contract Mining, Mining Engineering, and Strategic Sourcing, each member brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company. Collectively, they possess over 50 years of valuable mining experience, both domestically and internationally.
Vasin Govender
Ex Accenture director with more than 15 years of global experience in the mining sector. He has supported major global mining players in mega cost saving programmes which include Glencore, Anglo American, Rio Tinto, and BHP Billiton. Initiated and lead major strategic transformational programmes underpinned by ICT, Outsourcing , Strategic Sourcing and Business Process reengineering.
Gavin Santhia
Gavin is an engineering and operational expert with deep experience in managing and maintaining large mining fleets in South Africa and West Africa. Has an excellent understanding of the mining operational challenges in Africa. Most recently he has successful managed a large mining operation in the Northern Cape with various OEM’s.
Patrick Makhubedu
Business Development Guru and strategic alliances and government relations executive with deep experience in the ICT sector , energy sector and engineering and mining fields. Currently advising and leading a team which facilitated the Impala Platinum buying of RB Plat and Siyanda led consortium buying a BEE stake in Implats . Heis also a transaction advisor on one the biggest renewable project in SA named IREREP. It covers about 90, 000 government properties and the project size is R190bn over 30 years
